Ms. Jessy

Dapc Co-Artistic director & Instructor

Ms. Jessy grew up training in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, hip hop, jazz funk, and Irish Step Dance. In addition to being on her studio's competition team, she performed and choreographed for the Collinsville High School Dance Team and won back-to-back State Championships. Ms. Jessy holds a degree in Organizational Communication and a minor in dance from Missouri State University. During her time at Missouri State, Ms. Jessy performed in faculty-choreographed dance concerts and choreographed as well as performed in student-choreographed dance concerts. Ms. Jessy was also on the Diamond Girls Dance Team in college and served as captain for two years. Ms. Jessy graduated with her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Missouri – Columbia.

Ms. Jessy danced professionally with Ashleyliane Dance Company (ADC) for 9 seasons and performed across Missouri, Illinois, Colorado and California in addition to choreographing for multiple dance concerts. She has completed three training programs with Broadway Dance Center in New York City. Ms. Jessy and Jenny’s choreography has been seen across the state including MADCO’s Dare to Dance, Resilience’s SEEN, Big Muddy Dance Fest, and Consuming Kinetics Dance Company’s Woman. 

Recently, Ms. Jenny and Jessy choreographed a commercial for Microsoft with multiple Dance Art dancers featured in the commercial. The commercial won the Gold Addy and a special Performance award at the 2024 St. Louis American Advertising Awards. Ms. Jessy loves choreographing for and training the dancers at Dance Art Dance Studio.

Favorite Dance Art memory:

when we won the highest scoring routines in teen and senior divisions for the weekend at competition. the team worked so hard and it was thrilling to see that growth get rewarded!
